Nutrition is more than just food!

One nutrition approach does not work best for every individual, but instead nutrition is highly personal. It should meet your needs, lifestyle, health conditions, goals, and schedule, and more.

About

My Nutrition Philosophy

My Background I have two bachelor degrees (University of South Carolina and Clemson University) and obtained my master degree along with dietetic internship in medical dietetics from The Ohio State University. I am a board-certified specialist in sports dietetics and serve as a sports dietitian for three different universities in South Carolina. I am also board certified as an eating disorder specialist. I currently serve as an eating disorder dietitian for an outpatient practice and in my own practice. My Specialties I am always continuing to learn and improve my nutrition knowledge. After years of studying, continuing education, supervision, and mentorship, I have passed my board exam as a specialist in sports dietetics and in the next month or two will sit for the board exam for eating disorders. It is my next focus to obtain my certification in strength and conditioning to be a well-rounded practitioner that can best help my clients with a whole approach nutritionally and physically. I primarily help all types of athletes (from professional to every day), those struggling with eating disorders (specialize in anorexia, binge eating, and bulimia), and those who would like help with weight management (weight loss or weight gain). If you feel you have other needs nutritionally, but that I could be of help, please do not hesitate to contact me to see if I am good fit or if I can recommend an amazing dietitian who can help you succeed! My Approach I do not believe one nutrition approach works for everyone. I am passionate about getting to know my clients on an individual level and having a deep understanding of their goals. Their goal serves as my focal point as I help them to create nutrition plans, meals, recipes, etc. I do not subscribe to a diet mentality or believe in fad diets to help my clients reach their goals, but instead desire to create a doable lifestyle that my clients can easily implement into their everyday practice and maintain throughout time. Nutrition is more than just food! It is a part of all aspects of our lives, and I strive to help my clients build a mentally and physically healthy relationship with food that provides freedom to focus on the things that are most important to them (ex: family, friends, career, sport). There is not one nutrition approach that works best for every individual, but instead nutrition is highly personal. It should meet your needs, lifestyle, health conditions, goals, and schedule. I strive to deeply listen to my clients' needs, meet you where you are at, and help you create a doable plan to get you to where you want to be. I do not believe you have to diet, follow fad treads, or go to extreme measures to reach your obtainable goals. Balance is possible!
